Dr. Haydée C. Brown, innovative orthopedic surgeon to dancers, athletes, and active New Yorkers, was recently selected as recipient of The Network Journal’s “40 Under Forty Achievers” award for her outstanding professional accomplishments, contributions to the African-American community, leadership and influence in the business world.
Born in Harlem and fluent in Spanish, Dr. Brown founded Haydée C. Brown MD, PLLC (dba Foot and Ankle Orthopedics of New York) at 40 Park Avenue, to provide specialized medical care and support for patients to achieve their personal, professional, and athletic goals. Dr. Brown is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at the Icahn Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Brown completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery and Foot and Ankle fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery, the #1 program in the United States for Orthopedic Surgery, and graduated, with honors, from Wellesley College and the New York University School of Medicine.

The Network Journal’s 20th Annual “40 Under Forty Achievement” Awards was held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel during a gala event attended by corporate, business government, and community leaders. All 40 awardees were featured in the June “Awards” issue of The Network Journal magazine.
